Just in time for Election Day, we are releasing Episode 3 of our podcast.
Pennsylvania election law expert Adam C. Bonin graciously joined Corrie to discuss the election law cases surrounding last year's general election, including In Re: Canvass of Absentee and Mail-In Ballots of November 3, 2020 General Election. The striking theme throughout their discussion is the even-handed manner with which our courts and judges handle these politically fraught cases. From the multifarious trial judges across the state, to the Republican-leaning Commonwealth Court, to the Democratic-leaning Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the public servants who constitute the judicial branch of our Commonwealth handled the national spotlight in November of 2020 with grace and aplomb. Not only did they maintain the institutional credibility of the nation's oldest court system, but they addressed every election issue expeditiously, thoroughly, and fairly. Our democracy does work thanks to the professionals in the bar and on the bench, and the public should never allow a gaggle of pundits and hucksters to undermine our judiciary.
